How to refill a lighter?
To refill a lighter, you first need a bottle of lighter gas. Lighter gas is butane-based and safe for you to use. Once you have all the materials ready, you can start refilling.
Step 1: Preparation
Make sure the lighter to be refilled is clean and pay extra attention to the filling nozzle. Press on the nozzle with a toothpick or something narrow and pointed to release all old gas residue. Ensure the lighter is at room temperature, as too cold or too warm can be less safe and makes it harder to get the gas inside.
Step 2: Filling
Make sure the can of lighter gas you're going to use is also at room temperature. Shake the can a few times to get it ready for use. Hold the can upside down and press it against the filling nozzle for 3 seconds, allowing the nozzle to open and gas to flow into the lighter. Repeat this 3-second fill five times to ensure the lighter is completely filled with fresh gas. Once filled, always let the lighter sit for 5 minutes to reach room temperature before using it again.
Step 3: Testing
Once the lighter has been successfully refilled, it's time to test it. Set the lighter to a small flame and light it to see if the filling was successful. You can then increase the flame size and adjust it to your preference. Be careful, as a flame that's too large can cause burns. Always start with a small flame.
